Public transport
INFORMATION: distruption on tram 18 from 1 to 18 August 2025. Expect an additional travel time of 10 to 15 minutes between CERN, downtown Geneva, and the airport. More information here.
Note: if you are staying at a hotel in Geneva, it may offer free public transport cards. Ask at their reception.
- From downtown Geneva: take tram 18 (to Meyrin, CERN) and get off at Meyrin, CERN.
- From Geneva airport (about 25 minutes): take bus 23 (to Carouge, Tours), 28 (to Petit-Lancy, Les Esserts), or 57 (to ZIMEYSA, gare); get off at Vernier, Blandonnet to get tram 18 (to Meyrin, CERN), and get off at Meyrin, CERN.
- From France: take bus 68 (to Vernier, Blandonnet) or bus 67 (to Meyrin, Gravière) and get off at Meyrin, CERN.
- Back to Cornavin train station from CERN (about 25 minutes): take tram 18 (to Genève, Bel-Air) and get off at Genève, gare Cornavin.
- Back to Geneva airport from CERN (about 25 minutes) : take tram 18 (to Genève, Bel-Air), get off at Vernier, Blandonnet, take bus 23 (to Grand-Saconnex, Aéroport P47), 28 or 57 (to Genève-Aéroport, Terminal) and get off at Genève-Aéroport, Terminal.

Car
- A paid car park is located behind the Globe of Science and Innovation. Please note that parking is allowed only for the duration of your visit. Parking outside the car park is forbidden and vehicles parked illegally may be fined by local authorities.

- If this car park is full, an alternative paid car park is available by the French customs at the Centre sportif de Maisonnex.
Coaches
- There is a free coach park north of the CERN Science Gateway. This park is reserved for coaches of groups with a booking. Smaller vehicles (cars, minibuses, vans, campers etc.) must be parked in the paid car park or may be fined by local authorities.
