CERN is joining Geneva Museum Night for the first time!

For its 11th edition, the theme of Myths and Legends will run through all activities offered by 31 cultural, scientific, and artistic institutions.

In addition to our immersive multimedia exhibits, you can enjoy exclusive hands-on workshops, two interactive improv shows, and immersive XR experiences. Some activities are organized as part of the CineGlobe Film Festival, which takes place from May 14 to 18, 2025.

On March 20th at 20.00, CERN's Science Gateway invites you to discover Les Dieux et le Père Noël : vers une solution quantique, a comedy show about quantum mechanics.

CERN Science Gateway has welcomed 500,000 visitors since its opening on 8 October 2023.

To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, physicist Yasmine Amhis and the DoniSSi string quartet invite you to explore the mysteries of time in all its aspects.

The United Nations declared 2025 the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology in recognition of the importance and potential of quantum technologies to accelerate progress towards achieving a more sustainable and equitable world.

Due to maintenance work, the temporary exhibition “Curious Connections” will be closed this Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

The first full year of operation of the CERN Science Gateway has been a real success!

In 2024, we welcomed almost 390,000 visitors from over 171 countries. After only 15 months of operation, CERN Science Gateway is now one of the top 10 most visited tourist attractions in Switzerland.

CERN Science Gateway and the Globe of science and innovation are closed on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January due to annual tests and maintenance. They will also be closed on Monday 6 January like any other Monday.

We look forward to welcoming you again as from Tuesday 7 January for another exciting year of science and discovery.

Although the CERN campus is closed for two weeks as usual, CERN Science Gateway will be open during the end-of-year break!
