Due to maintenance work, the temporary exhibition “Dialogues insolites” will be closed this Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
What do the feathers of an Eider duck have to do with survival blankets? Can scientists follow the tracks left by particles like they can those of dinosaurs? Did you know that ants form large collaborative communities, just like humans?

Due to CERN 70th anniversary ceremony, Science Gateway will be exceptionally closed on 1 and 2 October. In addition, the audiorium won't be accessible and there won't be any science shows or films until 4 October. Our exhibitions will remain accessible on open days. Check opening dates and times here.

Over the past century, physics has unveiled the fundamental laws of nature and traced the Universe’s evolution back to the Big Bang. Yet, many mysteries remain, and numerous secrets are still hidden within the cosmos.

CERN will actively participate in this event with a stand entitled "11245 rotations per second" and two scientific workshops.
Visitors for exhibitions, guided tours etc must go to Visitors Reception (opened from Tuesday to Sunday), labelled 1 on this map
