Offering something for everyone, CERN’s public events create engaging experiences at the intersection of science, art and culture. We delve into topics related to CERN’s research and technology and to science and learning, and we explore how they impact society at large.
As part of the celebrations for CERN’s 70th anniversary, From particle physics to medicine will be held on Thursday, 7 March 2024, at 19.30, at CERN Science Gateway. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the various applications of particle physics instruments and tools in hospitals and medical research. Medical doctors, biologists and physicists will guide you on a captivating journey, providing insights into the future of therapy and imaging.
Find below the CERN Science Gateway and Globe agenda to find a possible available slot for your CERN event. Please note that this calendar is for information only and that the possibility to host your event also depends on logistics and resources constraints.

On Tuesday, 6 February, CERN Science Gateway welcomed its 100 000th visitor.
Bavo Lens and Nicky Morren came from Hasselt to Geneva on a city break and said “visiting CERN is a must”.
Each year, on 11 February, CERN celebrates the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by shedding light on the variety of career paths for women in STEM. This year, we asked nine female scientists to share their stories with us and tell us what inspired them to pursue a STEM career and what are their favourite memories involving science. Meet more women in science at CERN during your visit to Science Gateway every day, and especially on 11 February
